We still find difficultly expressing how essential, valuable, and wonderful Marybeth’s presence was during the delivery of our son. My husband and I both agreed that she was the single most crucial asset during our birth process. Marybeth was also a great resource during my entire pregnancy. She was quick to respond to any questions I had with thorough answers that addressed my concerns and reassured me.
The morning that I went into labor, Marybeth kept in constant contact with my husband. She gave him encouragement, gave advice, and met us at the hospital soon after we arrived. Marybeth was quick to settle in and help support me through contractions. Up until this point, I had only spoken to her on the phone and not met in person; however, her supportive bedside manner and warm personality made for a quick, comfortable connection that immediately benefitted me. I’ll never forget how she held me in a hug as I got my epidural.
We wanted to avoid a C-section, but that unfortunately was the route God had for our birth plan. Marybeth was the calming presence I needed amidst the fear and anxiety of the impending procedure. Because of her great relationship with the staff at the hospital, she was able to come into the OR for my surgery and stayed by my side the whole time. She talked me through the entire process and reassured me that the doctor was taking good care of me. Marybeth went above and beyond by taking the most special photos of us meeting our son that we will cherish forever. Marybeth did not leave my side until well after we were fully settled in for the night after the procedure.
Recommending Marybeth to an expecting mother doesn’t quite envelope the gravity and necessity her presence brings to the birth process. She is a game-changing resource that we were so blessed to have and we will utilize again!
