I hired Liz for my second and third births and it was the best decision my husband and I made. My first birth was unexpectedly a c-section. I wanted to attempt a VBAC and Liz helped me plan and understand what I wanted from my birth, prepare my body and introduced me to relaxation methods for labor. My second baby was born during the pandemic and her partner was at the hospital with me while she supported via text message. I was induced two weeks after my due date and the labor was long but I had a successful VBAC of a 9 and a half pound baby. When labor slowed Liz suggested exercises to help get the baby in a better position and labor picked back up. It was a wonderful, healing experience that was enhanced by Liz. For my next birth I went to the hospital at 3 cm and was sent home because I wasn't progressing. Liz met me at home and helped me do spinning babies and encouraged me to relax in the shower to help deal with the contractions. Well the spinning babies worked because after she left my contractions started coming fast and furious. I called her and headed to the hospital. I labored in the back seat (at Liz’s suggestion) and knew the baby was coming sooner rather than later. My husband called Liz and she talked us through everything as I delivered my baby on the drive to the hospital. She kept me and my husband calm as we were traveling to the hospital and she had the ER staff ready in the parking lot when we arrived. I honestly don't know what we would have done without her. I never felt alone or scared during a truly unexpected experience thanks to Liz. It could have been an emergency but my daughter's birth was empowering and intimate. Liz was with us postpartum and helped us process everything that just happened. She even gifted us with a matchbox replica of our car afterwards! Liz is a special person that I was privileged to have with me during pregnancy, labor and delivery. I would encourage any birthing person to hire her.
