After an eventful first birth-made-bearable-by-a-doula, I knew it was imperative to have one attend the birth of my second child. Enter Lianne! I had just moved to a new town and did not know anyone, nor how to find a doula who would travel to Asheboro to attend a birth, when Lianne entered the picture. She was wonderful. I was extremely anxious through my pregnancy, and she provided excellent mental and emotional support, including tools and mantras to help support my needs. The prenatal home visits helped me feel things were right on track. I especially enjoyed being able to practice labor positions in-person, since my first pregnancy was early in the pandemic. Lianne is great at reading people and sussing out what they need during labor. She arrived with snacks, positive energy, and motivation. She was able to foresee potential issues through the whole process and provided alternative options we could implement before, during, and after birth. Everything went smoothly, and I attribute that largely to Lianne helping me maintain a positive and motivated mental state throughout the process.
