I feel so lucky to have crossed paths with Jacquie. I gave birth at Newport and don't have any family support in town and 1st time mama.
Jacquie's work helped me feel confident at birth, we practiced birth positioning, she equipped me with breastfeeding knowledge and met me at my doorstep as soon as my baby was born. She is incredibly professional, trustworthy, experienced, preserves boundaries in your family, more importantly she is focused on truly helping baby AND mother.
Jacquie went above and beyond to make sure my baby was gaining weight as I was exclusively breastfeeding, from implementing weighing schedule, helped me nurse successfully, alleviate breast engorgement, helped me navigate all my tears and exhaustion. She made sure I got rest, stayed hydrated & fed, made sure I was comfortable while healing from birth. She taught me valuable lessons during diaper changes and my baby first bath! We exchanged many "is this normal" questions, poop photos, she's truly a resourceful and reliable resource.
Jacquie is interested in learning the mothers needs and wishes for the baby providing a customized experience. For all the mothers out there seeking for real help, reduced stress and anxiety, fact based/medical advice, someone that you can trust, Jacquie Procopio is the best doula in town. (I did a ton of research)
