Testimonial for Bianca Gandarias
Bianca made a world of difference for me during my labor experience in November. I unexpectedly needed to be induced 2 weeks early and wanted to do a TOLAC. She set up an essential oil diffuser, fairy lights and tea lights to make the room cozy right away. Bianca pulled out all the stops to help my body make progress. I was on pitocin for a full 24 hours. She coached me through different exercises to help with baby’s positioning, we took a “pit stop” and walked around the hospital together to keep things moving, and she gave me really nice leg massages when I needed to relax. I was in such good hands and it was so nice for my husband and I to have someone just tell us what to do. So helpful!
After 2 days of different mechanical and medical interventions, I made the call to have a cesarean. Even though I was so scared and felt like a failure to some degree in the moment, Bianca gave me a pep talk and made me feel like I was a bada$$ in spite of needing to call an end to the TOLAC. The actual surgery I’d consider a fond memory, if you can believe that. She was in the OR with me holding my hand and bringing me comfort while my husband was near my head talking me through everything. It was a family centered c section that really gave me the opportunity to bond with my baby right away. I absolutely love the photos Bianca captured of our daughter’s arrival and first moments!
I look back at my birth experience and am so happy Bianca was part of the team that helped welcome our baby girl. Without her, I would not have felt as at peace with how things went or felt confident I truly gave the TOLAC all I had. I can’t recommend Bianca enough!
