Melissa has now been my doula for 4 of my births! Words cannot explain how invaluable her services are as a doula. I did not have her by my side with my first birth and that was a traumatic experience for me. I am so happy I found Melissa during my second pregnancy and she has been by my side for my subsequent births. She has such a calming presence about her that immediately makes me feel safe and helps to calm me down and regain my focus during labor and delivery. But I think the hardest thing for me during labor is allowing my mind to let go and trust the process and she has been able to take my Type 1 personality and allow it to release tension and allow my body to do what is what made to do.
