From our first call, I loved how MaryBeth really knew the staff over at Upper Chesapeake and could provide guidance there. As a FTM with a holisitc approach to life, I was very worried about what to expect, especially since hospitals really freak me out and I've had bad experiences with previous OBGYNs. I decided to try hypnobirthing and she had insight into that, which was great. She assured me that my requests for birth were not crazy and unreasonable. She let me know what things the staff may give me a hard time about and what wouldn't ruffle any feathers. From the start of labor to the birth of our son, she was very encouraging. She helped me through the process and let me know what was normal. After awhile, I mentioned that I would just like a c section (the LAST THING i would ever say in a normal situation, which she knew) and she made sure it didn't result in that after all the hard work I put in already. She took amazing photos of the birth which we'll cherish forever and my husband and I are grateful for her help during this insane procress. She has also been an incredible resource for referrals.
