Honestly, I couldn't have done this without Laura. This was my second birth but first time going for a natural birth and certainly first time going for a homebirth! Laura was incredibly helpful during my pregnancy, the visits were vital to my confidence heading into labor and I was comforted by her frequent check ins and support as we got closer to my due date. During labor everything went out of my head and I started to think I couldn't do it but as soon as she arrived, she calmly coached and cheered on and reminded of the tools we had practiced. She said she has been called "the human epidural" and I 100% agree! Keeping me focused and making me feel safe and supported at the birth was so special, I don't think it could have gone as well if I didn't have her reminding me what to do and pulling out all her tools and tricks to get through any hard moments. Her compassion and care during pregnancy, birth and after was incredible, I am very grateful to have had her on my team.
