We are so thankful to have had Marcia as part of our birth team for our second child. We lived in a different state when our first child was born and had a doula for that birth. We realized the incredible value of a doula's support during pregnancy, labor/delivery and postpartum then and were excited to have a friend recommend Marcia for this birth.
After our first phone conversation, I knew that I wanted Marcia to be with us on this great journey of welcoming our second child. It was a great gift that we share the same faith because she not only encouraged me as I physically prepared for birth, but she also walked with me and gave suggestions for ways to make birth a profound spiritual encounter with God. Marcia is a gentle and caring woman, filled with the wisdom of being a more seasoned mom than myself. It is easy to get in contact with her and she answered all of my questions regarding birth, postpartum, babies, etc., promptly and thoroughly. I especially remember a postpartum visit with her in which she cared for me when I was struggling with mastitis. Her visit happened to be perfectly timed because of what I was going through. She helped me tend to my mastitis symptoms. After she left, I was peaceful because I felt loved and cared for by her. Marcia is encouraging and positive and I hope to have her on our team for any subsequent children with whom we are blessed.
