Joanna was a great help to my natural labor and delivery. I was so glad to have her knowledgeable support and encouragement by text during early labor (especially since it started and stopped many times and I had no idea what to do!). She was always quick to respond and ready to go whenever things picked up. Ultimately, Joanna had to meet us at our birthing center twice since I was sent home the first time having not progressed far enough (it was my call to go in at that point, not Joanna's). Joanna helped me through postures to help baby get properly engaged, and eventually things finally picked up, presumably thanks to her strategic guidance :) By the time I returned to the birthing center ready to deliver, things went very quickly so I didn't have the benefit of Joanna's assistance through much of the pushing stage, but she was again a wonderful help as we worked to establish breastfeeding the day of the birth and also thereafter. Joanna is kind and professional, inspiring confidence-- a great presence to have by your side through birth. Thanks, Joanna!
