I absolutely recommend Thais as a doula to any parent whether or not you already have kids. Thais started working with our twin boys a couple days after we got home from the hospital and we were so glad to have her around to show us how to handle newborns. One baby is hard enough but when you have two newborns to take care of at once, many things are much more complicated. We owe it to Thais for getting us through the early weeks when we barely knew how to swaddle, change diapers, and breastfeed. She helped us set up a system to operationalize tasks like making formula, feeding, and bottle washing, arranging our changing station optimally etc.We learned a lot from her which made taking care of twins more manageable when we are on our own. Thais is super knowledgeable all of her proactive guidance has aligned with what our pediatrician and other medical professionals have suggested. This is no surprise as she attends workshops and genuinely takes an interest in expanding her knowledge in the world of prenatal/postpartum care in general. We ran into multiple issues when it comes to breastfeeding, and from latching, calming/supporting the baby/mom, to gentle suggestions on seeking further evaluations by pediatric dentist for tongue/lip ties, our twin boys would not have made the same progress in terms of growth and weight gain if we didn't have her working with us. Thais is super on time and professional, she does a thorough home visit to get to know you prior to her start date, and I highly recommend using that time to go through as many details you can think of including what's on your baby registry to avoid buying things that you won't actually need (super helpful for us as first time parents). She's very easy to work with and I really think we were so lucky to have found her.
