We had Leslie come over for night shifts during the first few weeks postpartum. Having Leslie's support as a first time parent was incredible. Leslie is punctual, communicative, sweet, and caring. She helped us get some much needed sleep at night, assisted me with night nursing, tended to our baby, loved our senior dog, did our laundry (including folding and putting away!), and ensured I was fed and cared for. My husband and I felt a huge sense of relief every time Leslie was here. I was nervous in the beginning with my baby's acid reflux thought the night, and having her at our home to hold and care for our baby while we slept was wonderful. Night nursing can get very lonely, and having Leslie sit with me and talk with me as I nursed throughout the night was comforting. I really appreciated this time with Leslie and our talks about motherhood, baby development, and general tips on how to care for a newborn. She also refilled my drinks and fed me snacks as I nursed! My husband and I struggled to make decisions for our baby, and having Leslie as a sounding board was reassuring and helpful (tongue tie, feeds, CST, etc.). She's a baby expert and helped us understand what our baby was going through (feeds, acid reflux, tongue tie, sleep/naps, etc.). Her detailed notes of each shift were helpful as well. Leslie helped us build our confidence as parents. She's truly amazing and highly recommend her as a postpartum doula!
