My wife and I interviewed Marie for the doula role for our second child. After our talk, I knew Marie was a good fit: she was attentive, well prepared, and knew how to help me as a father prepare for the birth (I.e. guided readings). She was a good match for our birth plan of no pain meds, meditation, massage, and visualization, for which Marie was amazing. Not only did she help me comfort my wife, she stepped in when I needed a break. Marie also helped me with my blood phobia, wherein she took the "downstairs" and I the "upstairs" during my child's birth. Following the birth, Marie continued to provide care as a postpartum doula with an overnight stay and meal prep, lifesaving indeed. She was also incredibly sweet with our first child by helping her understand her role as big sister. Marie provided all these services pro-bono as part of her certification, and I'd strongly recommend her for your north journey.
