My son was born just before Christmas. Every breastfeeding clinic or support unit was closed. My midwife recommended Lisa and she came to see us the same day. Lisa was efficient and no nonsense and wasted no time in setting our house to rights. She took everything in stride and was professional and frendly. From giving me a new position to try latching, to helping with post partum recovery, she listened to the whole story, discussed options and collaboratively came up with a plan that worked for us.
Lisa was always caring and supportive And was easy to get in touch with by phone or email. She became my go-to person when there were too many professionals telling me different things. She helped me sort out the information, found me other moms to talk to, and followed up to see how we were doing. Lisa was also great with 'the stuff they never tell you' like: how to put on a baby wrap, how to nurse on your side or even what to do with witch hazel.
I couldn't have asked for a better doula.
