If you are thinking about encapsulating your placenta with Marcia Mattern, do it! Marcia was such a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. She also was very kind and understanding towards me as a first time mom; she gave her undivided attention to me when I was talking/venting about my birthing experience and helped soothe some of my concerns regarding my mental state and my baby's health. She is very knowledgeable and offers advice without being overbearing or egotistical. Her process is seamless and she does it right in your home so you always have your placenta within your possession. Encapsulating my placenta was one of the best decisions I made regarding my birth plan. I have not been emotional or have had the baby blues and I'm 3 weeks postpartum. I feel I have more energy and my mood is balanced when I take my pills. I forgot one night and the following day and I was a little emotional that brought on tears and anxiety. As soon as I took my pills, my mind immediately felt more at ease and able to handle the tough days that come with being a mom. I cannot speak more highly of Marcia and the work she does!
