WOW- I wish I could give Scarlett a 10,000-Star review. My wife and I were planning the birth of our 3rd baby. So we've been through this process before. And we didn't get the opportunity to have a doula for the first 2 babies, but we knew we would want help and added support for this third birth. Our expectations were far exceeded by Scarlett. Leading up to the birth, we met with Scarlett several times and it was SO reassuring to go through our plans, desires, and all of our questions so that my wife could relieve some of the anxiety of the birth process. It was the best feeling to feel completely READY and prepared, and Scarlett was that guiding light. We also went over different positions, exercises, pain relief techniques etc. It was like having access to hundreds of birth classes without ever having to leave our house. We were so impressed with Scarlett's knowledge and expertise. My wife had back pain and a history of back labor from a posterior baby, and Scarlett knew exactly what to do to make her as pain free as possible.
As we reached the day of the birth, this is where I was really blown away with Scarlett. My wife and I will forever be grateful for the exceptional level of care we received. Throughout a 16+ hour labor, Scarlett was incredibly present, calming, reassuring and supportive. Even at 3AM, Scarlett was a true hero as she used several different techniques and tools to relieve my wife's extreme back pain during transition. She helped us communicate with the hospital staff even when we were too tired and anxious to think straight. With Scarlett's help, we had a very safe, smooth, and special birth of our baby girl. I can't imagine that the birth would have gone as well without her help and support. My family and I will forever be thankful for the care we received, and she holds a special part in our hearts for helping us during the time we needed it the most. Thank you so much Scarlett!
