I had a traumatic first birth and I did not want to go down that path again with my second baby. After talking to Barbie and deciding to hire her as my doula, I felt such a sense of relief and confidence that she would be with me through my second pregnancy and delivery. She came to me with a wealth of knowledge for pregnancy and labor prep but what I found the most invaluable was the ability to consult her for recommendations and decisions while in labor. While my delivery was still long and hard, I truly believe that with her gentle yet steadfast guidance, I was able to have a beautiful delivery and baby girl with no trauma. It was very healing after my first birth and I could not have done it without her.
