I can’t recommend Laurie strongly enough. Throughout the birth prep, birth, and postpartum journey, Laurie’s expertise and support was invaluable. As a pelvic floor physical therapist, I valued so much how Laurie was grounded in the latest research to help guide my birth preferences. She also has a strong institutional knowledge of the Swedish birthing center, and was able to track down birthing balls, set up the jacuzzi (with twinkle lights!), and call in the best food orders to help support my husband and I during labor on a day the medical staff was stretched thin. Laurie was hands on during my contractions and pushing process to help me cope and make progress. As with many first birth experiences, not everything went to “plan,” and she was invaluable in helping to make last minute decisions.
