Bri is one of my closest friends and family member. I asked her to be my doula because not only do I trust her as a friend and confidant but I trust her ability as a doula to provide what I needed during my pregnancy. She went above and beyond her job description. She and I just connect on a whole other level and she knows me so well; I couldn't imagine not having her for my second child after a 10 year gap- feeling like a new mother all over again. I originally wanted/planned to have this baby naturally and without an epidural. Even though I ended up asking for one at 5cm dilated feeling a bit defeated, Bri was there to encourage me through the process and then just my luck the two epidural tries failed on me and I ended up going naturally anyway! I needed her strength in that time and I could feel her support through and through. All I needed was to look at her, look at my husband and know that I could do it, that I was meant for this. I couldn't have asked for a better doula, and a better friend.
