The birth of my first child had a lot of ups and downs to say the least, however through it all it was great to have the support of Trina there. My husband and I both felt fully supported by Trina and even though our whole medical team was great, it was amazing to have the support of Trina, knowing that her goal was just to support us, to have our back, and to make sure that we didn't feel pushed into something that we didn't want. I know that my husband also appreciated being able to have the occasional coffee and food break. The thing I really appreciated the most about having Trina as our doula was that she had real-life experiences that were relatable. I feel like Trina helped prepare me for birth both mentally and physically. One of the biggest encouragements that I received from Trina was that she wanted me to have my birth experience to be a positive one regardless of what unexpected situations may happen and I can say with Trina by my side it was just that! I would encourage all first-time mothers to hire a doula and hire Trina!
