We were reassured by meeting her Mother who was also a doula for many years and would serve as a back up if some extenuating circumstances were to make her unavailable on our big day.
When the day of labor arrived, Kai was a steadfast presence, arriving promptly with a basket of essentials, provisions, options & potions well-prepared to calm my nerves and provide essential support. Throughout the grueling 24+ hours of labor, she remained a calming force, helping us make critical decisions, ensuring my well-being, and being our rock as we ventured into parenthood. Birth can be so unpredictable and I was faced with serious medical decisions to make on the fly and Kai was a consistently rational and grounded sounding board throughout the experience. I found Kai to be absolutely invaulable, I will recommend her to anyone in need of a reliable companion and pillar of strength. We love you Kai!
