Hiring Rollyn to be our doula was the best decision we made. I knew that I wanted to hire a doula, but I was nervous about finding the right one. Luckily, Rollyn was recommended by my midwife and was the perfect fit! I was very anxious throughout this pregnancy as we have a history of miscarriages, so I hired Rollyn early on around 16 weeks pregnant. During our first zoom meeting I immediately felt more calm and even a bit excited about the birth process! My husband and I also appreciated her passion for evidence based decisions and her sense of humor. Rollyn continued to support me emotionally throughout the pregnancy by checking in regularly via text, offering advice and resources when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and helping me prepare for the birth experience that I wanted. I had a long labor and she was there every step of the way supporting both me and my husband. Despite my labor not going exactly as I had originally wished, I could not be happier with the way it went and I truly believe that it’s because Rollyn was there by my side the whole time. I can’t wait to hopefully work with her again someday!
