My husband and I had a fabulous experience working with Enza. I had read the data on how having a doula usually improves women's experiences with labor and I am extremely confident that having Enza with us made giving birth to our daughter a much smoother experience. Enza was caring, honest, knowledgable and so helpful. She was quick to answer any questions I had leading up to labor and the information she collected from us, and provided to us in our meetings was also very helpful. As a first time mom, I knew I'd get an epidural and Enza fully supported that choice. Enza arrived at the hospital arund 2am when I was in labor and I knew I'd get the epidural soon after she arrived. I worried that once I had the epidural Enza wouldn't be as helpful, or necessary, but there were so many curvaballs that came at us post-epidural and Enza's support and expereience was extremely valuable. I'm confident that having her with us to help make decisions and navigate certain issues helped us aviod a c-section. To me, hiring a doula was an obvious choices since it's one of the most important days of your life, and childbirth is not something that most people have any experience with. Doulas have knowledge and experience and are there just for you. I'm thrilled that we hired a doula, and I'd highly recommend Enza to other families.
