Being a first time mom I didn't know how to navigate the up and downs of labor/delivery and decided I wanted a doula to help provide knowledge, support and encouragement throughout the process. My husband wasn't entirely convinced we needed one but upon meeting Elan, we were both on board! Her warmth and expertise was evident from the very first moment we met her. When our original birth plan took a detour due to medical reasons, she not only provided me with lots of support during my induction but also helped my husband navigate the whole experience. She stayed with us the entire time and was integral throughout my labor. On top of that, the medical staff had nothing but praise for her after our delivery. I don't think the whole thing would have gone as smoothly without her there and I highly recommend her services to any parents looking for a doula!
