As a first time parent, pregnancy, labor and just overall being a new mom is overwhelming. Though filled with so much excitement and joy, I was also consumed with worry. Tiffany was referred to us by our good friends & hearing their experience was intriguing & also moved the needle to get a doula. Although you do your best to prepare, nothing prepares you for the really thing lol. Early in the pregnancy she covers what to expect from her leading up to labor. She was my go to for questions, issues & place to get resources through. A week before my due date, she met with us to go over what to expect once I started to feel contractions or if my water broke. She went over every single tool in her magical bag, &!what to look for once my water broke. The day it finally happened, Tiffany was right there (via text) walking through, yet again, what to do (eat, sleep & hydrate), when to go in, etc. because of Tiffany, my husband knew exactly what role to play. Once we went into the hospital (overnight), my husband was in communication & even though it wasn't time, time, Tiffany was there for us throughout the ENTIRE process. Once she came in, it was game time & she meant business lol. She set up my room with candles (electric), oils, a projector with lights that really set the mood for a peaceful environment. I was so fortunate to have a wonderful team & we all just hit it off (Tiffany, nurses, even our doctor). When it was time, she put me in every position to get things moving & helped lead the way. Thanks to her, we also got some family pictures which allowed us to be fully present in the moment. post-labor she checked in with me & finally our last appointment. That meeting brought me so much relief & I was going through it being sleep deprived and all lol. overall, it was an amazing support system & something I didn't realize I needed as bad as I did. So thankful for her!
