If there is one thing that I would do again in preparation for labor and delivery, it would be to hire Jessica each and every time. When I was deciding on a home birth or hospital birth, the one thing I knew I wanted was a calm and supportive environment and hiring Jessica allowed both myself and my husband to experience that for the birth of our son.
I opted for a hospital birth with an induction due to some higher risk tendencies of my pregnancy. As the birth neared, Jessica came to my house multiple times and provided guidance and information to help prepare us for different experiences and outcomes. At the hospital, during labor, her expertise helped us make informed decisions, enjoy a relaxing environment, and keep me grounded when I was experiencing the peak of pain and exhaustion.
