There isn't enough space here to express my gratitude, but here are a couple heart felt words. GENNA.....From day 1, facetime 1, I knew you were the perfect match for me during this incredible journey. How you jumped on the band wagon so late in the game and picked me right up where and when I needed without hesitation. (Yes I waited 36 ish weeks pregnant, to finalize my Doula search) Choosing a doula can be such a strange thing right? We try and find a complete stranger... to be by our side during one of the the most important moments of my life. A personal, intimate, private, sensitive and emotional moment. This was hard. There was no question for me after meeting Genna. Checked in frequently, was there for every text, every call, anytime. Genna was passionate, empathetic, an incredible listener, so caring and showed this in her own actions in her everyday life through her love for her own family and children. This woman is a care giver, some type of super human! She was put on this earth to truly do WORK, angel work, at that. Genna made my first birth experience seamless. Without her by my side, a huge component would have been missing. Thank you a hundred times over, will never be enough for all that you did and still do Genna, for not just me but all the incredible women you support and guide. Thank you for sleeping upright in a chair for me, thank you for being by my side for 34 hardworking, blissful, yet excruciating hours. Thank you for not missing a beat for me even though we pushed the LIMIT with time and making sure you were able to safely and restfully make it to your sons surgery. Thank you for caring for me and for teaching me all of the tips, tricks and knowledge I can now carry with me forever. I am beyond blessed not only to have had Genna by my side for the birth of my son, but for the rest of my life as an incredible friend to confide in, look up to and create memories with! Genna, we love you more than words.
