I was looking for someone warm yet pragmatic, with good technical knowledge, who could explain to me what worked in what case and why. This was also important for my husband, an engineer. My labor was about 22 hours all told. Morgan was at my side for all that time, staying up through the night and coaching me on breathing. She also helped my husband stay positive, get some rest, and find a niche for himself in the process. Like many women, I'd hoped for a natural birth with minimal interventions. Morgan's calm, patient presence helped me to achieve that, while also helping me accept that the birth journey would go whatever way it may. When my precious daughter finally emerged, Morgan captured priceless pictures that we will treasure forever.
When we said goodbye at the end of our postpartum meeting, I felt like I was saying goodbye to a good friend. I wouldn't hesitate to engage Morgan again when we are ready for more children.
