We had Dara as our doula for our first pregnancy during the pandemic. While she was unable to support me in the hospital due to pandemic restrictions, she was an incredible resource from the moment we met at 26 weeks. I was planning a birth center birth, and when I had not gone into labor at almost 42 weeks, she was by my side as I pumped and did all the things to try to stimulate labor. I ended up going past 42 weeks and inducing labor in the hospital. Dara was available by phone every step of the way as it was not the environment we had planned for our birth. Not only did she help with my birth journey, while in the hospital she even cared for our dog, walking and feeding her while we were away. It was no question whether Dara was going to be a part of our second pregnancy journey, this time as mother baby wellness support. One of Dara's specialties is in breastfeeding support, and helped me navigate getting my milk supply in with a visit while I was in the hospital, and during my first postpartum journey, she helped alleviate engorged breasts, got me comfortable and able to feed my baby in one visit. She is an incredible resource, but most importantly she is one of the most caring and warm people you will ever meet. You would be lucky to have Dara's support.
