We hired Thais as a postpartum doula for our first baby, which was easily one of the best decisions we could have made. I immediately felt comfortable with her during our first conversation - she is such a warm and thoughtful person who has so much empathy for stressed out parents-to-be! We interviewed several doulas but in the end it was clear Thais just felt like the right fit to help us start out our lives as parents: knowledgeable and confident but not overbearing or judgmental. She taught us everything — burping positions, all the varieties of swaddles, different products to make nursing and pumping more comfortable and successful, sponge and tub bathing, nail trimming, strategies for tummy time, using more complicated baby carriers, proper bottle and pump part hygiene and suggestions for products we’d need to keep everything clean, setting up a good changing station, tricks for keeping a sleepy baby awake during marathon feeding sessions, folding tiny baby clothes and keeping the nursery beautifully organized….the list goes on and on. She is so natural with newborns and always made our baby laugh and smile even from just a few weeks old. He loved spending time with her and she was almost always able to keep him occupied or asleep so we could get in a daytime nap after a rough night. Thais has so many great personality attributes: amazing work ethic (she always saw things that needed to be done and just did them without anyone asking her), punctual, great at communicating, flexible and clear about scheduling week to week, kind and reassuring (whenever we were in a panic leaving the doctors office she’d remind us she’s seen so many babies, and our child was growing and healthy and happy and totally fine), and a deep interest in all things related to newborn care. I wish we could have hired her for longer but at least with the time we had with her we felt like we got really good training. We would 100% recommend her.
