The best decision we didn't know we needed. My husband and I went back and forth with adding a Doula to our pregnancy journey. We were late to the game of deciding to add extra support and we could not have been more fortunate that Barbie happened to have availability around our due date. Never really putting too much thought on what having a doula would actually look like for our growing family, we took a leap of faith after meeting Barbie. We could not be more impressed and happy that we did. Not only did we learn an emense amount of skills and tips, we had the support and experience of a professional by our side throughout the entire labor and delivery process. Barbie took on the roll of our family and friends. She was always there when we needed her and gave us advice along the way. She was there with us throughout our lengthy labor and delivery process and helped us stick to our birth plan when we became tired. I am beyond thankful to have had Barbie by our side and to also have memories captured through pictures. Above everything, I am thankful to have Barbie as a member of our family to watch our son grow-up. If you are on the fence about adding Barbie, or a doula, to your birth plan, do not hesitate! It was the best decision we could have made for our birth plan and our family.
