Joli & Kathleen were our doula partners for our baby's birth. I valued their experience and guidance. I planned on a hospital birth and wanted more of a birth center experience. I received some kind feedback about considering switching to a birth center despite my plans. I pondered it over and decided to keep going with the hospital route due to costs already incurred and the ability to be in a hospital if there were any complications. After the birth at the hospital, I recognized how much more comfortable I would have been out of that environment. I think the value of working with Joli & Kathleen was their experience with births and intuitive ability to help support me. I was glad I had support in my pregnancy from women with so much experience. I think it was Kathleen that offered me this tidbit: women learn in their first delivery what they want for the future deliveries. She's 100% spot on. I learned so much and having strong advisors (Kathleen and Joli) to lean on during the ups and downs leading up to delivery was something I am eternally grateful for.
