Joli was the absolute BEST companion I could've had for my second pregnancy. After a very traumatic first delivery, I knew I wanted someone that would listen to me without judgement and be supportive of my wants. I wanted a vaginal delivery, but after a 4th degree tear with my first I was petrified and of course, I always got reminded by my doctor that C- section was always an option. Joli always made me feel like I could do it, either way! After my 38th week appointment my contractions started to kick in and oh boy did they escalate, within three hours we were at the hospital. But the minute I started feeling them I started texting Joli and she was by my side virtually guiding me on what to do (as I had never felt a natural contraction before) and then for it all. She got to the hospital nearly at the same time I did. We were at the door of the L&D with 8 cm dilated and in 15 minutes after we entered, my baby girl was born. I was able to have the unmedicated birth I wanted which honestly, Joli kept me so strong throughout it all! No tears this time!! And she even gave me the confidence I needed to say "I want to keep holding my baby longer".
But the best part, she made me feel so good and empowered that I got to cut my own umbilical cord - which I hadn't even thought about before!
I would 1000% recommend Joli!! It was the best coincidence for me during my pregnancy to come across her and I'm so happy I met her.
