When getting pregnant with my second child, I knew I wanted the same AMAZING experience I had with my first. So the second I got that positive test, I knew I had to have Heidi by my side again, without her I knew I wouldn't have that experience. With our first, my husband and I choose to deliver him in a beautiful birthing center, and it was the most wonderful and empowering experience of my life. I wasn't sure if my experience could be anymore powerful; however, after meeting with Heidi again, she encouraged us to have a home birth…a decision I will NEVER regret.
As my pregnancy progressed I had Heidi's full support of love and compassion. I was in connection with her the whole time, and near the end she was my go-to knowledge of if "this was real or not". After many weeks of prodromal labor, Heidi kept reminding me that he'd make his enterance soon enough and just to rest and relax. Finally, the time came when my little guy decided it was his birthday, within 2 hours I had gone from questioning if I was in "real labor" to delivering my precious little guy. My home birth experience was nothing short of amazing with Heidi's help! The second she came to my side my mind was put to ease, she knew exactly when I needed to call the midwives, what positions and actions I need to take to help myself relax and let my body do its job, and how to guide my husband to help him know how to support me best.
While, with my first labor, I had the typical full-day of laboring and a few hours of pushing, this labor couldn't have been more different with how fast and intense it was. Heidi knew the perfect steps to take to help both situations progress in the most natural and effective way. Heidi's support, passion, love and friendship WAS the reason my husband and I have had two unforgettable experiences welcoming our sons into this world.
