Kendra is an absolute angel of a human being. We are so grateful she was there for us postpartum. She was extremely kind, creative, and intuitive to our needs. After having my baby, I didn’t know what I needed and I didn’t know how to communicate what I needed, especially to my family. Kendra intuitively and efficiently met all of my needs with ease. She ensured I was healthy, fed, resting/healing my internal wounds, and prioritized my bond with my baby. I felt so capable thanks to her ability to empower me. I was more clearheaded due to her managing my mental load. She needed no direction when it came to the basics of upkeep for the home and family. She even helped me come up with a schedule so I could get my life back in terms of work, exercise, feedings, etc. She was able to care for my older son too and because she is so fun and loving, he bonded with her and wanted to be with her immediately. We faced several health issues and she was able to alert us to them right away and offered great healthy ways to alleviate them. She was like a personal assistant, a replacement mother when I needed to prioritize myself, and a friend - all wrapped up in one precious little package. I’m so grateful for her. I recommended her above and beyond for anyone needing doula care. She was great postpartum and I imagine all the qualities that made her wonderful postpartum are ones that would make her essential during birth as well.
