I wouldn't recommend anyone else as a doula. Alyx supported me through both of my pregnancies. She gave me peace of mind knowing she was just there. Both times I gave birth in the hospital and when I wasn't able to fully express my wishes she made sure they were honored the same as they were in my birth plan by all the staff. My husband and I being the young parents we are couldn't of been more lucky to have someone like her with us through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum!
I also used Alyx through my placenta encapsulation process. She picked my placenta up from the hospital in a timely manner keeping it cool, safe and sanitary. I got my placenta caps in the next couple days with a few other special birthing gifts. She took the time to make prints of my placenta and a heart out of my umbilical cord for both of my pregnancies. When I was healing that was the best feeling.
