Cannot praise doula Terri Burleson enough. She helped me during both of my incredibly successful hospital baby deliveries and I would recommend that anyone wanting any type of labor support to use Terri. Terri was equally beneficial for both my husband and me, we were SO much more confident handling the birth thanks to her guidance before and during the labor. In my experience, all of the info my husband and I had learned in labor classes before the birth went out the window in the heat of the moment. For us, it was essential to have a clear headed doula in the room with us during the labor and delivery process (a doula that knows your plan and preferences, and is your advocate) that can make suggestions, give guidance, remind you of labor positions, assist you with labor positions-- in order to have a delivery that you understand and afterwards can feel confident about the decisions you made. Words cannot express how uplifted, encouraged, and happy I was after both of my deliveries and I attribute a lot of those feelings to Terri’s positive, gentle, empowering approach towards doula services during the labor and delivery process. Terri has incredible talent as a doula.
