I would recommend Melissa highly to anyone seeking a great doula. From the moment you meet her you can immediately notice how seriously she takes her role. She went over expectations during our first home visit and trough her questions sought understanding of our birth plan to see how she could help accomplish them. She maintain constant communication with me during our wks working together. She kept logs of doctors visits and would always reach out to me on those days to follow up on what happened on them. The day of my induced labor she kept checking on me and letting me know the plan on how to reach her while she got to the hospital. My labor went by incredibly fast (lucky me!) so sadly by the time she arrived the baby had just arrived a few minutes earlier. Nonetheless she stayed with me in the delivery room and gave me advice on feeding and took some beautiful pics of us that I will cherish forever. Of all the things I appreciate more was the post hospital visit. She gave EXCELLENT real life advice on breastfeeding and spent a long time with me being sure I felt comfortable breastfeeding, pumping and burping the baby. She gave me peace of mind on that visit.
In summary, Melissa is a highly competent and compassionate Doula that I would recommend to all. I appreciate her and all she did for our growing family.
