I can’t thank Midwest Doulas and Ale specifically for all the support and assistance during my recent delivery. I was drawn to them initially because they have a team model - you meet with a different team member and get to know them for each of the three prenatal appointments. I found it comforting to know that I will have met and established a relationship with the person who would be attending my birth regardless of when it happened and who was on-call.
When my labor actually started it was 4am and Ale responded right away to my partner’s call. She met us at the hospital so fast! I really appreciated her advocacy and physical support during a difficult labor. I was so deep into myself that at points I was unable to answer questions put to me by nurses, but with Ale at my side I was able to keep focusing on what was important. She was so knowledgeable about how everything was progressing and she even knew the baby was “sunny side up” before the midwife did.
I highly recommend Midwest Doulas for anyone giving birth in the Twin Cities. Without the support of a doula I would have had a lot more fear and pain during my delivery. I am so grateful for everything they have done.
