Maria was exactly the doula we needed to have supporting us through the pregnancy(we wish we would have looked for a doula even sooner!) birth and early weeks! She was kind, understanding, and endlessly supportive of how we wanted our birth to go.
We ended up having to move from the birthing center to the hospital where she advocated for all of us to have the birth still be as close to our plan as possible and took initiative to make sure we were all comfortable and cared for. She gave us space when my partner and I were rocking it on our own and her presence, words of support during the rest of the time, and for me the spikey balls during active labor was all irreplaceable.
She was a pleasure to work with and it was an honor to have her be there helping bring our son into the world!
