MaryBeth is one of the most compassionate, empathetic and knowledgeable people I have ever met. My husband and I hired her for both of our births, one in 2020, and one this year in May and we couldn't have made it through without her! I love that she meets in person prior to birth, to go over what you want your b irth plan to be. She made it very clear her goal was to support us with whatever our decisions/wishes were, and even asked us questions and gave insight to things we didn't even know we had control over. On delivery day this past May, I was able to use her TENS machine, and it allowed me to have the labor/delivery of my dreams without the epidural. I kept the TENS machine on through labor, delivery and a few hours after I delivered, as I really loved the naural pain relief it gave me. I had an Epidural with my first, and MaryBeth reassured me that I was doing what my body needed in the moment. Even this time, with my second, when I was in doubt, she reassured me, that we could start the epidural process if that's what I wanted, and so we started it. My son ended up arriving before the epidural, but I'm so glad she was there to reassure and advocate for me. While I was about to deliver my son this time around, she asked the midwife if I could pull him out, and It was one of the most magical experiences I've ever had. Had she not been there to ask, I wouldn't have thought about it, and without her, we wouldn't have the amazing picures she was able to capture with her phone. MaryBeth made sure we were so well taken care of. She is the exact support that I needed both times. Both of my births were so special and so amazing in their own ways and I truly don't think I would feel so positive about my birth experiences if it hadn't been for the amazing help and support she provided my husband and I. We are forever thankful and in awe of her ability to do what she does so brilliantly.
