Towards the end of a long pushing stage of labor, Kaely and I looked each other in the eyes and without words, just her warm smile, nod, and presence with me 100% inspired another burst of confidence and strength that welcomed our son to the world. I appreciated that she was trauma-informed too and she infused this perspective and approach in all of our prenatal, labor, and postpartum interactions. With an unexpectedly long labor, we also appreciated that Kaely was with us from start to finish as part of her labor package - labor is so unexpected, and not having to worry about hours or a ticking clock in regards to the additional support is huge. Kaely is great with support partners too, really meeting them where they are at, and offering encouragement as well as gentle direction on how partners can be present and supportive. I'd gladly work with Kaely again and again! Having her support was the best decision I made as part of my birth experience!
