Barbie is hands down one of the best parts of our pregnancy and delivery journey. Before meeting Barbie (and several times throughout my pregnancy and labor journey) I didn’t even know how to articulate what may be helpful for me. Barbie helped me figure out how to identify the support I needed. She’s readily available, always accepting and non-judgmental of any questions, and a wealth of emotional and practical support. She provided excellent wisdom and resources for whatever came up prenatal or postpartum. Barbie is incredibly perceptive. She really understood what support I needed even when I didn’t know how to ask for it.
Practically, Barbie clearly explained to us from the outset what the process of working with her would be like. I appreciated that we were able to arrange prenatal and postpartum visits flexibly based on our needs and am so glad that this allowed for our process with Barbie to continue post partum.
Before working with Barbie, I wondered whether having another person in our intimate moment would take away from the experience- that could not have been further from the truth. If anything, Barbie helped us create more space to focus on each precious moments. Now, Barbie will always hold a special place in our family’s hearts.
