Nicki's kindness, connections, and advocacy cured an inaccurate diagnosis and eased the devastation that I felt when I thought no one else would hear me. She listened. She renewed my hope with her resources, and I am blessed that I didn't miss out on the amazing homebirth I wanted because she fought with me and for me. She was there as a shoulder, a better "all things baby, pregnancy, breastfeeding" Googler/researcher than I will ever be, a photographer, an encourager, a doula, and most importantly as a guide through all the trials that came with my childbirth journey.
