As first time parents, we had no idea what to expect or what we were doing when we brought home our baby. Laurie's calming presence and extensive knowledge about newborns was exactly what we needed. Besides the help with our baby, she helped me (the mother) so much. I had a c section and was in a ton of pain when we got home from the hospital. Laurie would bring me the baby for feeds, helped me stand up and sit down, and brought me snacks or other things that were too painful to reach.
