We are so grateful to have had Stephanie for our doula and I can't imagine our birth experience without her! The main reason we wanted a doula is because I had a lot of anxiety about labour and delivery. Stephanie offered reassurance, validation and a wealth of knowledge prior and during my labour. I had gestational diabetes and was nervous about getting induced. She ensured I was equipped with knowledge about different perspectives and information to make the decision that I felt was best for us, and supported me in making those decisions. She helped my husband support me through labour as well, and he agreed that having her with us was very comforting and helped to ease both of our anxiety significantly!I n the end, we had a positive experience and it wasn't anything like I thought it would be.
