From our first meeting, I could tell Melissa had the experience and education that I wanted to help me feel empowered and take the fear out of labor. But despite than her 3000+ births, she treated me as a unique individual. She listened and considered the wants and needs of both me and my husband, asked questions that helped me realize things about my desires for delivery that I didn't even know I had, and truly seemed to care for my little family.
On the day of the delivery, she was so available to me and helped me advocate for what I needed each step of the way. Her calm presence was such a gift for me and her understanding of the transcendence of laboring allowed me to fully embrace every part of that day. I felt completely supported and safe because of my team and I will forever be grateful to Melissa for being part of that.
