Along with a depth and breadth of pre- and post-birth baby knowledge, Bethany has a warm presence, a kind heart, and a desire to help others during a time that can seem scary for first-time parents.
As my husband and I learned more about what to expect with childbirth and beyond, Bethany provided fantastic recommendations for local birth doulas and lactation consultants. She helped us build a strong support team that carried us through labor, post-birth complications, and a challenging breastfeeding journey. While unplanned, Bethany was actually in the hospital the day I gave birth. When my baby and I were split up for separate post-birth treatments, she comforted my husband when she saw him in the hospital hallway and offered him reassurance and a listening ear.
I was ecstatic when Bethany agreed to be our postpartum doula. She offered breastfeeding support, affirmed all the big feelings I was experiencing, and helped my husband and I focus on the changes that come with adding a baby to the family. Bethany’s gentle guidance throughout those early postpartum weeks really helped me build my new-mom confidence and helped me tap into my instincts.
