The team at Midwest Doulas helped us welcome our baby girl and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. This was my first pregnancy and I had so many questions and wasn't sure what I wanted for my birth plan. Throughout the experience, Justine was amazing - in just a few meetings with her, I had a much cleaner picture of what I wanted for my birth and she was so supportive. We also took the class recommended by Midwest Doulas at BirthEd and we learned so much and felt so much more prepared and confident. Ale also came to our house and walked us through comfort measures that my husband and I could use before they joined us to labor at home which helped us feel prepared.
When the time came, Ale came to our house and was immensely helpful in coping through the contractions and allowed me to labor at home for most of it (which was my hope!). Unfortunately we couldn't go to our planned provider and hospital because they were on divert, and Ale helped me remain calm throughout the changing plans for my delivery. When we got to the hospital, there were some challenges getting the monitor on me but Ale assured me that all was well and that helped so much. My birth was amazing and I believe it wouldn't have been as smooth without the preparation from Midwest Doulas and having Ale at our birth. We are eternally grateful!
