I can't imagine what my pregnancy, labor, and birth experiences would have been like without Melissa! From our first intro Zoom meeting, I felt heard, validated, and like I was her only client. She responded to every text within minutes, shared resources to help me prep my body for labor (and hosts classes for her clients and others!), and always struck a balance of caring without being pushy - I always felt like she heard me, and centered my changing needs without any judgement, and even with humor! Her extensive knowledge of the physiology of birth, along with her deep knowledge of area providers, ways of working, and medical policies, helped me feel so supported and informed. She has such a calm, balanced, assertive, non-judgmental and kind nature, which feels like rare qualities for one human to have - I did not feel any stress or any of the chaos of my fast labor and birth - even though my baby was almost born in the car, it felt like it was just the two of us, breathing, and advocating together, which was everything I wanted. Pregnancy, labor, and birth can be such an intimate experience, and it felt like Melissa was a friend I had known for years - she struck this balance of sharing pieces of her life with me, and also still centering and coming back to how I wanted to experience this labor and delivery. She is a very special human. If I am pregnant again, she will be the second person I tell (after my spouse) just to make sure she is available to support me again! I HIGHLY recommend Melissa!!!
